Travel Diary: Marikina Edition- Philippine Science Centrum

Hi everyone! Im back with some more of travel adventures. But this time its in Marikina City! I was invited by Riverbanks Center to visit the Philippine Science Centrum, Joey Velasco Gallery, The Spirit of Bethlehem and the Museum Of Miniatures. Im really excited to be part of the tour since I always love seeing artworks and learning new things!

So lets start off with the Philippine Science Centrum. Its a hands-on science center museum where kids, kids at heart and all the people who love interactive science museum will definitely enjoy! Its recognized by Department of Education, Department of Science and Technology and Department of Tourism since its a great venue for learning and enjoying science. All the visitors are encouraged to play, trwist, touch, hear and see the interactive displays in the museum.

here are some of the interactive displays they have :D

mirror imaging gives out the illusion that the person is floating in a certain angle

This is one crazy demo and i cant remember the name of it to be honest
im terrified that i might fly off of the axis if ever i tried this one!

I think a lot of us are familiar with static electricity.
This is a demonstration of it :)

The museum showcases more than 100 hands on exhibits and 11 exciting galleries (Lights,  Math, Electricity, Magnetism, Vision and Perception, Infectious Diseases, Earth Science, Space, Kids' World and Mechanics) and other educational activities that complements the K-12 program of the Department of Education in the Philippines.

here are some more photos of the displays in the museum.

This display gives you your weight in other planets

This one shows your speed when you are running

this displays shows your skeletal movement when you are biking :)

They also have a play ground that all of us enjoy.
of course they also explained the science behind the movement of each and every display!

All in all i really enjoyed my time in the museum! I really miss visiting this place since the last time that i have been here was way back in high school! This place is also great for school and corporate events, birthday parties, training's, seminars or any science related events since they accommodate 3000 visitors a day! or 500 in a given time slot! Will definitely come back with my kids neighbors to learn and enjoy :)
