Tam-Awan Village Experience - Baguio

Hello again! I feel so productive today so I'm gonna make another travel post.

Same day as the BenCab Museum Visit we also visited the Tam-Awan Village which is a few minutes away from the museum. Its a pretty interesting place, too bad that i cannot stay too long due to a tight travel schedule.

Here are some info about Tam-Awan Village: Tam-awan Village uniquely blends indigenous aesthetics and exquisite Cordilleran craftsmanship with an artist’s concept for a village adapting to Baguio setting. I'ts also known as the village in the sky. The place resembles a traditional Ifugao home back in the days in Baguio. (info from Tam-awan website)

The location is very steep and there are a lot of tourists when we visited. I find it very amusing that you can actually rent out the traditional huts! They also said that you can go further up and you will see more huts, but im too tired to do that. I prefer to just stay within the reasonable walking area and enjoy it. When you enter you will be greeted by this lizard art.

One of the huts actually houses an exhibit and I think its a unique setting since there are not a lot of traditional huts as well.  The huts are a treasure on their own. and it amazes me that they were able to maintain and conserve the heritage that came along with it. Visitors like me are blown away just thinking that igorots way back actually lived in huts like this.

here are some more photos that are think worth sharing to you guys

The place is really nice and also they have a resto, coffee shop and a souvenir shop inside. I find the short visit enjoyable and im pretty sure that i will visit again in the future!
