Bathroom Cleaning Hacks That Everyone Should Learn

The bathroom is probably one of the ugliest, dirtiest and most annoying places to clean. Whether it’s scrubbing the toilet bowl, plucking hairs out of the shower drain or wiping off dirt and grime from tiles, it’s not a very pleasant experience and you’d be surprised at how many people neglect cleaning their bathroom because it’s just too much hassle. But did you know that, like many other things in life, there are some brilliant hacks you can learn to make cleaning your bathroom much easier? It’s true! And to prove it, here are a few bathroom cleaning hacks that will make your life a lot easier.

Using Household Products

One of the most annoying things about cleaning the bathroom is the fact you have to purchase a whole array of different products to clean every nook and cranny of the bathroom. To help make your life a little easier, you should learn to use everyday household products to help you clean. It will save you a lot of money in the long run and you’ll feel like a domestic goddess. For instance, have you ever wondered how to clean shower glass easily? Simply mix vinegar and water in a spray bottle, give it a shake, then spray it onto dirty and grimy surfaces, then wipe off. Want a quick way to clean your toilet? Then simply drop two Alka-Seltzer tablets into the bowl and flush a couple minutes later. It makes a surprisingly good cleaning product and instantly freshens up and cleans the bowl. It doesn’t leave a nasty chemical scent and it costs hardly anything compared to traditional chemical cleaners. In short, remember to make your own homemade products for cleaning.

Clean the Bathroom Fan

Bathroom fans can look unsightly, especially if you haven’t clean it for a long time. Use canned air or an air compressor to blast the dirt away. Just remember to clean up all the debris afterwards because it will leave a lot of mess on the bathroom floor. Remember to also use a mask so you don’t inhale all of the dust particles.

Stubborn Shower Curtains

There are times when shower curtains will stick or smell really bad. Instead of wiping them off with a cloth and spray it with water, simply throw it into your regular laundry basket and give it a wash in the machine. Use your typical detergents and let it dry as you normally would for the rest of your laundry, then simply hook it back on. If your shower curtains don’t glide very well, then give the rail a wipe and check if the hooks are clogged with dirt and grime.

Shower Head Buildup

Shower heads can be stubborn and fill with grime really easily. To help prevent this, take the shower head off and leave it in a bag or bowl of vinegar. Let it break up the dirt, grime and limescale, then give it a rinse under the tap. To get the rest of the vinegar and grime off, simply attach the shower head back on and let the water run for a few seconds. If your shower head can’t be removed easily, then simply use a bag of vinegar and tie it tightly around the head.

Cleaning might be an unpleasant experience but with these hacks you can cut your cleaning time and make it a lot more bearable.
