When Life Is Stressful Being Calm Is A Superpower

Life is amazing, beautiful and, at times, mesmeric, and the fact you are here is a testament to how miraculous it can be too. Your existence is a lottery win. However, life isn’t always like this. It isn’t always unicorns and rainbows. Oh no. Life can be utterly cruel too. But you know this because every passerby has a life as complex and vivid as your own; that comes with the territory of being alive.
Life tends to throw up difficult situations to test your resolve, and that’s where your ability to stay calm can have a huge difference. The big question is, how can you be the embodiment of calm when life starts plonking hurdles in your path?

Always Remain Positive

When life gets, you know, rubbish, the best thing you can do is smile. It is so much better to be annoyingly positive and childishly optimistic than it is to be negative and resentful. The reason for this is, whatever attitude you choose will be the one to snowball. There is so much power to be found within positivity, all of which you can carry through your days. So look at your challenge and face it down with a smile.
Steer Away From Caffeine

Caffeine is bad. Yes, it may be the only thing that helps you operate in the morning, but that doesn’t change the fact it is bad for you, especially when you have an overwhelming amount of challenges on your plate. This is because caffeine stimulates that tiny part of your brain that is making you feel anxious in the first place.
Seek Lots Of Help

Life packs a seriously powerful punch, and so it isn’t wise to always take it on alone. It doesn’t matter what the hurdle in front of you looks like, always seek help. If it is divorce, then find a lawyer here or hire a mediator to help. If it is a mental health battle you are having, then speak to a therapist. If it is a sports injury, then get medical advice. Whatever it is, you don’t have to go it alone. It could just be friends and family that you speak to. It will help you feel like someone has your back, which is so important.
Sleep Is Good

Your body needs to recover, and so does your mind, and the best way to achieve this is to sleep. Not getting enough sleep is a surefire way to damage your health and well-being, and that will make you that much less effective when it comes to taking on the challenge in front of you. So know exactly how to relax and unwind because you won’t be able to think without a clear mind. You won’t be able to find the calm needed to overcome the stress. Sleep gives us that strength.
Identify The Cause


When something stressful enters your life, it can easily spiral out of control and make even the smallest things seem stressful too. That’s why it is so important to identify exactly what the enemy is so that you can overcome it. The reason being, you can’t possibly leap over the obstacle if you don’t know what the obstacle is. You need to know what you are facing down in order to beat it back. Things become less and less terrifying the more you understand them.

Stress will always be a part of our lives but it should never take over our lives. Here are just some of my tips on how you can keep calm in moments of stress.
