A Goddess for a Day with Jill Ngo

Last Sunday (March 22,2015) I was proclaimed a goddess for a day! Yes, Its just for one day!
I attended a bloggers event for Foot Works Dance Studio. They will be launching a new class and it will be for aspiring belly dancers out there!

Belly dancing or bellydance is a Western-coined name for a type of Middle Eastern dance. as every part of the body is involved in the dance; the most featured body part is usually the hips.(wikipedia)

bloggers listening attentively to miss Jill Ngo
while she demonstrates some basic belly dancers poses

Miss Jill Ngo is the premier belly dancer of the Philippines. She was taught and trained by the best and renowned belly dancers in the USA and has been a professional dancer for 20 years. She is a performer, teacher , choreographer and the producer and artistic director of the biggest belly dancer gathering in the Philippines-Belly Fest. She also choreographed a lot of artists in the TV industry like Maja Salvador ,Regine Tolentino, Nikki Gil and Shaina Magdayao to name a few.

some shots of me learning the basics of belly dancing.
its looks so easy but its not

We did a lot of stretching and then went ahead with the basics of belly dancing. I cant imagine how long the experts trained to make their dances look so graceful! we are then split into two groups and did a short dance using the basic moves.
